Since opening in 2015, The Orient has been a gathering place for authentic Chinese banquet-style cuisine and heartfelt hospitality. Over time, we’ve grown in both experience and vision. With The Orient 2.0, we’ve reimagined what this space could be—infusing it with elegance, warmth, and soul.

The transformation begins the moment you step inside. Rich textures, soft lighting, and touches of gold are grounded by the deep, powerful tones of Chinese red—a colour symbolizing luck, joy, and life. The room glows with intention. Jazz now drifts gently through the air, inviting you to slow down, savour, and connect. This ambiance reflects who we are today: a bridge between East and West, tradition and innovation, heritage and refinement.

In the kitchen, we continue to honour the heart of Hong Kong Cantonese cuisine—while allowing creativity, modern technique, and Nova Scotia’s seasonal bounty to guide us forward. Every dish is a tribute to the flavours that shaped us, reimagined through the lens of fine dining and personal storytelling. We want each bite to feel both nostalgic and new.
